James A. Horning, O.D.
Dr. James Horning is a board certified optometric physician who has been in practice since 1982. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Siena College and went on to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Following his academics he served in the United States Army as Head of Pediatric Services.
During his Career, Dr. Horning developed a strong interest in children’s vision following a rotation through the pediatric clinic at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He received additional training to work with vision therapy, autistic children and patients with traumatic brain injuries. Additionally, Dr Horning also works with patients in need of low vision devices.
Eve B. Geis, O.D.
Dr. Eve Geis is a graduate of the University of Alabama and received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry in 1987. She went on to complete a residency in hospital based Optometry at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Following her residency, Dr. Geis worked in a private optometry practice in Tampa, Florida which she later purchased and owned for the next fourteen years. Recently she relocated to Jacksonville and joined the A1A Family Eyecare/Rowe group in early 2008. She is a primary eyecare practitioner who enjoys diagnosing and treating visual disorders and ocular diseases, prescribing spectacles and contact lenses, and co-managing ophthalmic surgical procedures such as Lasik and cataract extraction.
William Gebhard, O.D.
Dr. William Gebhard graduated in 2013 from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then continued his education at Nova Southeastern University: College of Optometry, earning a Doctor of Optometry and Bachelor of Science in Vision Science in 2017. While at Nova Southeastern University, he was inducted into Beta Sigma Kappa, an international optometric honor society.
As a Jacksonville native, Dr. Gebhard is very excited to be back home serving his community. He is dedicated to practicing a full scope of optometry for his patients with enthusiasm and compassion. Dr. Gebhard looks forward to meeting new patients and providing a personable eye care experience for all.
Kaitlin Brown, O.D.
Dr. Kaitlin Brown is a proud alumnus of Florida State University. She continued her education at Nova Southeastern University: College of Optometry, where she received an honors Doctor of Optometry degree and a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science. She is an inducted member of Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key International Optometric Honor Societies.
Throughout her training, Dr. Brown completed several rotations in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy and was a recipient of the College of Optometrist in Vision Development (COVD) Award of Excellence, which fostered a passion for providing full-scope Optometric care to children and their families. She is excited to serve her hometown community and provide a positive eye care experience for her patients.
